Android Team - Conferencing App

Summary

The goal of this project is to design an develop an Android 3D Conferencing app that is robust enough for personal and commercial use. Instead of a normal 2D video stream, the remote meeting will be rendering using Microsoft Kinects, and then a user's mobile device will connect to a server to remotely attend a meeting. Users will be able to even attend meetings on the go by taking advantage of WiMAX technology. Users can 'move around' the room with gestures, so they can focus on the speaker, the presentation, or another individual talking.

Objectives

  • Design and develop an Android 3D Conferencing app that renders conferences via the Microsoft Kinect and the OpenGL|ES platform.
  • Allow user to manipulate his or her view of the remote meeting with simple gestures.
