2012/Projects/WiMAX_BS_Programming
v12 v13 28 28 I am currently studying the experimental effects of radio frequency attenuation on modulation coding schemes on the ORBIT test bed. I expect that coding schemes with greater spectral efficiency are, by nature, more susceptible to signal degradation. My current setup uses the ''iperf'' utility and establishes one WiMAX radio node as a client and one WiMAX base station node as a server. My data seem promising, but I am trying to investigate how to raise the envelope. 29 29 30 The experiment topology: 30 31 31 [[Image(Corner_Attenuation_Bandwidth_with_ceiling.png)]]32 [[Image(node4node9topology.png)]] 32 33 33 [[Image(MCS_Response_To_Attenuation_with_ceiling.png)]] 34 The bitrate decay at the corner attenuation level: 35 36 [[Image(Corner_Attenuation_Bandwidth_with_ceiling.png)]] 37 38 The MCS response to attenuation: 39 40 [[Image(MCS_Response_To_Attenuation_with_ceiling.png)]] 34 41 ---- 35 42 === Team ===
